What you’ll be doing
- Financial Forecasting and Budgeting: Run forecasting, budgeting and in-year reforecasting for our central group functions, working closely with department leads to build plans that link to Yoto’s strategy and KPIs. Deliver continuous improvements in our forecasting process and financial governance, leveraging our EPM (Pigment), ERP (NetSuite) and support from our Data team to increase accuracy through better data integrity, systemisation and AI. Build and model hands-on in Pigment to unlock better reporting and forecasting for group functions.
- Investment Cases: Manage investment cases for our central group functions, from framing the problem and building the business case to testing the ROI and supporting prioritisation and sign-off. Partner our Content, Product and Operations teams on CAPEX spend to ensure it’s supported by a healthy ROI and prioritised accordingly.
- Group Business Partnering: Be the Finance business partner for our S&OP process, using commercial thinking to balance demand vs. supply side risk, maximising revenue and limiting overstocks. Partner on non-staff overheads, leveraging Pigment to promote self-service for department leads so that this is more variance management than report generation. Support cash planning and working capital optimisation across the business.
What you’ll bring
- Experience presenting forecasts and variance analysis to non-finance colleagues, including senior leaders, in writing and in person, in a way that supports business decisions.
- A track record of improving finance processes, for example by automating manual reporting or planning steps with Excel, planning tools, data tools or AI tools.
- 2+ years’ post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent practical experience, in FP&A, Strategic Finance or Commercial Finance.
- Experience running budgeting and forecasting cycles and building financial models in Excel or a financial planning tool.
- Experience building investment or business cases, and testing the assumptions behind them with budget holders.
Nice to have
- Experience in a subscription business, working with metrics such as LTV, churn and retention.
- Hands-on experience with a financial planning or EPM tool such as Pigment, including helping to configure or improve it to reduce manual planning work.
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 based on experience
