We're looking for a Head of Strategic Finance to join our Finance team to lead capital strategy, FP&A, and commercial decision support at a critical stage of Yoto's growth.

About Yoto

Yoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels - think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. Voted the 14th fastest-growing private software technology company in Britain in The Sunday Times 100 Tech 2025; We’re on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood, and help families on their own unique adventures.

Yoto’s Finance Team

Yoto's Finance team is agile by design. We believe agile, well-structured teams move faster, build stronger relationships across the business, and make better decisions. The team supports significant revenue across hardware, content, subscriptions, and global operations, and is actively rebuilding its engine for an AI-enabled world, with a clear mandate to reduce processing time and invest that bandwidth in strategic work. This role sits at the heart of that ambition, working closely with the CFO and embedded across commercial, product, and engineering teams.

  • Lead capital strategy, fundraise readiness, and board narrative - owning the numbers and the story that sits behind them for senior stakeholders and investors.
  • Drive scenario modelling and commercial decision support across the business, partnering with commercial, growth, content, product, and engineering teams.
  • Own the unit economics of Yoto's content business - including royalty structures, card library performance, and the P&L of Yoto Originals and Yoto Space.
  • Lead and develop a small team of strategic finance business partners, each owning a defined slice of the commercial picture across market, growth, and international.
  • Own Yoto's FP&A platform (Pigment), ensuring it delivers clean, decision-ready outputs; partnering with Finance Platform on the systems underneath it.
  • Define and lead the development of departmental roadmaps and initiatives that support Yoto's long-term financial strategy, working alongside the CFO and senior leadership.

Proven experience in FP&A or strategic finance at a senior level, with a track record of building models and forecasts that have directly informed business decisions.

Experience presenting to boards or senior investors, with the ability to translate financial complexity into clear, compelling narrative.

A working understanding of content economics — royalty structures, IP ownership models, or subscription unit economics — or the commercial curiosity to develop it quickly.

Experience managing and developing finance professionals, with a clear approach to setting expectations, developing capability, and maintaining high standards.

Strong command of FP&A tooling (experience with Pigment or a comparable platform is an advantage) and confidence working alongside ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Experience working in a consumer hardware or media/content business.

Exposure to fundraising processes and investor relations at a scale-up or growth-stage company.

At Yoto, we use AI to help us move faster and reduce manual work so we can focus our time on creativity, problem-solving and impact. AI should help us move faster, not change what makes working here great.
