We are looking for a 3D Motion Designer to join our team to help bring the Yoto world to life through engaging, playful and beautifully crafted motion. This role is a fixed term contract until the end of 2026.
About Yoto
Yoto is a screen‑free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels – think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like BrainBots.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and animate 3D motion graphics that express Yoto’s playful, warm and imaginative brand.
- Create animations for product videos, launch campaigns, social media, website content and presentations.
- Develop concepts, storyboards, style frames, and motion exploration from creative briefs.
- Bring physical products to life through 3D visuals, animation and renders.
- Collaborate with designers, illustrators and copywriters to create cohesive creative work.
- Balance creativity with clarity, making sure animations are accessible and easy to understand.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of craft and attention to detail.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience as a 3D motion designer, with a portfolio or showreel demonstrating high quality work.
- Proficiency in Cinema4D, Blender or similar 3D software.
- Solid experience in After Effects and compositing workflows.
- Strong understanding of animation principles, pacing and visual storytelling.
- A great eye for design, colour, lighting and composition.
- Ability to interpret brand guidelines while pushing creative.
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset.
- Experience of rendering physical products or consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of Redshift, Octane or similar render engine.
Nice to have:
- Experience with playful, character‑led or child‑focused content.
- Familiarity with sound design or audio‑led storytelling.
- Experience in working in consumer brands, product companies or creative studios.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 based on experience.
