We're looking for a PR & Advocacy Manager to lead Yoto’s earned media and advocacy activity across the UK & Ireland. Working closely with the Global PR team, you will own the UK & Ireland PR activations, translating global strategy into locally relevant, high‑impact execution that drives sustained earned visibility. You’ll bring strong media relationships, a sharp understanding of the media landscape, and the ability to turn global brand moments into culturally resonant local stories.
About Yoto: Yoto is a screen‑free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels – think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like BrainBots. We're on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood, and help families on their own unique adventures.
What you’ll be doing:
- UK&I PR Ownership: Lead and execute the UK&I PR and Advocacy plan, aligned with global growth strategy. Localise global campaigns, launches, and messaging to ensure relevance and impact within the UK&I market. Act as the key UK&I contact for PR within the business, collaborating closely with the Global PR team. Identify local media opportunities, cultural moments, and storytelling angles to drive incremental earned coverage. Manage any PR agencies we choose to work with and lead on briefs.
- Media Relations: Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with UK and Irish media across parenting, lifestyle, music, tech, education, and business sectors. Proactively pitch stories, product launches, and brand news to secure high‑quality earned coverage. Draft and distribute press releases, pitches, and media materials. Manage reactive media enquiries and support corporate communications where required.
- Advocacy & Influencer Relationships: Identify, recruit, and nurture organic brand advocates and key opinion leaders within the UK&I. Develop and manage a strategic organic gifting programme to support long‑term advocacy. Build and maintain a database of key advocates, tracking engagement, relationship health, and impact. Partner with the Influencer Marketing and Community teams to ensure alignment between organic and paid advocacy efforts. Focus on long‑term relationship building that delivers sustained earned visibility.
- Partnerships & Events: Lead the planning and execution of UK&I PR and influencer events. Represent the brand at industry and media events where appropriate.
- Reporting & Performance: Monitor and report on UK&I PR performance against agreed KPIs. Track coverage quality, reach, advocacy growth, and engagement. Provide insights and recommendations to optimise activity and improve results.
What you’ll bring:
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in PR and communications (agency or in‑house).
- Strong understanding of the UK&I media and influencer landscape.
- Proven experience securing earned media coverage in the UK.
- Experience localising campaigns or adapting global messaging for a local market.
- Demonstrable experience building and managing long‑term advocate or influencer relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Data‑driven, comfortable reporting on KPIs and relationship ROI.
- Confident collaborator who can work cross‑functionally and within a global team structure.
- Strong judgement and ability to represent the brand externally.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 based on experience.

- Flexibility: Hybrid working – expectation of 1 day a week in our London office, but you can come in more. You may work from anywhere for up to 6 weeks a year. Summer Hours policy allows use between June and August.
