Yoto is on a mission to give kids the magic of audio - and paid media is one of our most powerful growth engines. UGC is an integral part of bringing Yoto’s ads to life - and this role exists to make sure we never run out of it. The UGC Manager owns the sourcing of UGC creators: monitoring our existing organic community posts and identifying key champion content, sourcing and vetting talent outside of our wonderful community, briefing to a high standard, QC‑ing raw footage, onboarding UGC platforms, and keeping the roster healthy so the team can move at pace. You’ll work closely with the Creative Strategist - briefing directly from their templates - and hand off clean, usable footage to the Content Creator for editing and production. The measure of success is simple: the team always has what it needs, when it needs it, without chasing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creator Sourcing & Vetting: Manage and optimise Yoto's presence on UGC creator platforms (e.g Aspire, Twirl, Grin etc.) to maintain a consistent inbound supply of relevant creator talent. Run targeted direct outreach either to our existing Yoto community or proactively sourcing creators who match specific briefs, audiences, or content styles not covered by platform supply. Vet all prospective creators against defined criteria: content quality, audience fit, communication reliability, and alignment with Yoto's brand and values. Build category‑based shortlists so the team can move from brief to creator assignment within 24 hours when needed.
- Creator Briefing: Brief creators directly using templates and frameworks developed by the Creative Strategist. Ensure every creator understands the hook, the format, the technical specs, and the deliverable before a single frame is shot. Manage the brief‑to‑delivery timeline for each creator, flagging delays early and keeping production on schedule. Be the single point of contact for creators throughout the production process - responsive, clear, and professional.
- Raw Footage QC: Review all incoming raw footage before it reaches the Content Creator - checking against the brief, assessing technical quality (lighting, audio, framing, stability), and flagging anything that doesn't meet the bar. Provide specific, actionable reshoots requests when footage misses the mark - not vague feedback, but frame‑level direction. Maintain a clear handoff process so the Content Creator receives only footage that's ready to edit, with relevant context attached.
- Creator Relationship Management: Build genuine, ongoing relationships with top‑performing creators - nurturing a core roster who understand the brand, deliver consistently, and can be briefed at short notice. Track creator performance over time: delivery rate, footage quality, hook performance post‑production, and overall reliability. Manage contracts, rates, and usage rights in line with agreed parameters, escalating any non‑standard requests appropriately. Identify and off‑board underperforming creators proactively, keeping the roster clean and actionable.
- Creator Roster Health: Maintain a categorised, up‑to‑date creator roster - segmented by content type, demographic, platform, and past performance - so the right creator for any brief is always findable. Monitor pipeline health weekly: how many creators are active, how many are in production, what's in the queue, and where the gaps are. Proactively recruit into the roster before it's needed - anticipating seasonal demand, new product launches, or testing volume spikes.
What you’ll bring:
- 2–4+ years in a UGC, influencer, or creator management role, with a clear track record of managing creators for paid media - not just organic social.
- Hands‑on experience with Twirl, Aspire, Grin, or equivalent creator platforms, and confidence running direct outreach in parallel.
- Experience reviewing and QC‑ing raw video content against a brief - you know what good footage looks like and can give specific direction when it isn't.
- Exposure to a performance marketing environment - you understand that UGC is a creative input, not a brand awareness play.
- Highly organised and detail‑oriented - you track everything, miss nothing, and can manage multiple active creator relationships without dropping a thread.
- Strong communicator - you write clear briefs, give precise feedback, and manage creator expectations without friction.
- Operationally minded - you think in systems and processes, and you're always looking for ways to make the pipeline faster and more reliable.
- Commercially aware - you understand that the quality of your handoffs directly affects ad performance, and you take that seriously.
- Comfortable with pace - Yoto moves fast. The brief cadence is weekly. You thrive in that environment, not just cope with it.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 based on experience (pro‑rated)
