We are looking for someone to join our Night Reception Crew for 16 hours per week. Purpose of the role

Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s vibrant city centre, our hotel blends tech‑savvy service with stylish and functional spaces to surprise and delight our guests. Our Front Office is the hub of the guest experience at YOTEL – it’s our version of reception, concierge, and guest relations all rolled into one. As Night Front Office Crew, you’ll deliver exceptional first impressions, problem‑solving on the fly, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects YOTEL’s unique personality and standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the greeting of all YOTEL guests and that assistance is given with luggage as needed. You’ll also work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless and memorable guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete guest check‑ins and check‑outs accurately and efficiently
  • Greet and acknowledge guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and create positive guest experiences at all times
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, concerns, and requests
  • Handle guest complaints effectively, escalating where appropriate
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Fix It, and Food and Beverage teams to support smooth hotel operations
  • Maintain accurate records of overnight incidents, guest requests, maintenance issues, and handovers
  • Assist with preparing the hotel for daytime operations, ensuring effective communication during shift handovers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager and Night Manager

  • Previous Customer Service or Front Desk experience – hospitality experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with a positive, can‑do attitude
