Key Purpose of the Role

You will provide high-quality paraplanning support to the Financial Advisers and play an important role in delivering excellent outcomes for clients. This role goes beyond report writing and research. You will be encouraged to contribute to client strategy discussions, assist in developing financial plans and work closely with advisers throughout the advice process. Experience in improving workflows, processes and team efficiencies would also be beneficial as the business continues to evolve.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Financial Advisers with technical research and analysis to meet client objectives
  • Prepare Financial Plans and Suitability Reports
  • Conduct product and provider research across pensions, investments and protection
  • Prepare and collate documentation supporting recommendations
  • Assist with client meetings where appropriate, including note taking and follow-up actions
  • Manage your own workflows and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Contribute towards improving internal processes, systems and efficiencies
  • Assist in maintaining high technical and compliance standards
  • Support and collaborate with the wider team where required

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (minimum)
  • Has at least 5 years’ experience within a paraplanning role
  • Has strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning
  • Has experience writing high-quality suitability reports
  • Is organised, detail-oriented and able to manage workloads effectively
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Wants to develop a long-term career in paraplanning within a growing business
  • Has experience using financial planning and cashflow modelling software, with preference of experience using Intelligent Office and ATEB Suitability report writer

Experience with areas such as pension crystallisation, inheritance tax planning, trusts, VCTs or EIS planning would be advantageous.
