The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Under close supervision, provide direct benchtop services support at customer facilities. Execute routine laboratory support procedures and preparations (e.g. media/buffer prep, solvent/reagent mixtures, filtrations, material weighing, some physical testing, witness senior staff experiments). Maintain lab inventory and labeling (e.g. chemical reagents, glassware, gas cylinder levels). Verification/maintenance of laboratory equipment (e.g. balances, pH meters, sonicator cleaning, glass washing).
This person will have responsibility for the lab technician tasks in the Flu BPD laboratories at AZ Liverpool. They will work as part of the broader onsite Avantor team and will be expected to demonstrate a 'one team' approach to cross-training and providing cover during periods of sickness or annual leave. The role is primarily lab based and will provide operational support to deliver high standards in assisting scientists with project work and seasonal activities.
This is a customer service-based role therefore prioritising adhoc requests is essential. Experience in working in a lab environment is preferred. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
