Overview
Events & Experiences Assistant (Seasonal) – Fixed Term to 15 November 2026. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a fixed term Events and Experiences Assistant to support us in the delivery of an innovative, high-quality and generative programme of public events at Spurn National Nature Reserve. You will lead regular tours and support the practical delivery of a high-quality commercial events programme (ranging from regular guided walks to major events and bespoke 4x4 group tours) that raises awareness of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, drives footfall to Spurn and generates vital income to support our work for wildlife. You’ll also play a key role in providing an outstanding visitor experience – from meeting and greeting visitors to assisting with car parking operations and facilitating visitor journeys of discovery down to Spurn Point.
Responsibilities
- Lead regular tours and support the practical delivery of a high-quality commercial events programme (including guided walks, major events and bespoke 4x4 group tours).
- Contribute to delivering events that raise awareness of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, drive footfall to Spurn and generate income for wildlife work.
- Provide an outstanding visitor experience from arrival to departure, including greeting visitors, assisting with car parking operations and guiding visitor journeys to Spurn Point.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience delivering outdoor public events, working to income and engagement objectives and leading guided tours.
- Solid understanding of health and safety and data protection; good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation.
- Ability to embed equality, diversity and inclusion into engagement activities.
- Highly organised and flexible; able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence, willingness to drive YWT 4x4 vehicles across uneven terrain, and an Enhanced DBS check.
