We have an exciting opportunity for an Upstream Leakage Analyst to join the Water Distribution - Leakage Operations Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

Water Distribution - Leakage Operations Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Reporting to the Leakage Assurance Manager, the role holder provides the key analytical and technical expertise in the reporting and targeting of leakage on the upstream network both trunk main and service reservoir losses. The role holder is the process and data owner for data quality, targeting and total reporting of losses on the upstream network.

Where you fit in: As our Upstream Leakage Analyst, you will be responsible for producing upstream leakage reports for monthly and annual performance reporting - both losses on the trunk main network and across service reservoirs. Ensure correct configuration of upstream assets and data in the leakage reporting software system Netbase. Proactive identification of data source failure, promoting the relevant field activity and taking ownership through to resolution. Identify areas of proactive leakage detection on the upstream network and manage the creation of the workload of the upstream leakage inspectors. Validates and interprets leakage, operability and availability performance data and trends on the upstream network.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Technical understanding of the water distribution network
  • Demonstrate proven analytical skills, proven track record of interpreting and analysing large volumes of data.
  • Understand the leakage calculation.
  • Advanced user of Netbase
  • Experienced in Yorkshire Water's corporate systems including SAP, AI2, Odyssey, SRM, YorBill.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Experience of delivering against challenging business targets.
  • Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
  • Able to understand where your role fits within a Business Plan and develop ways to deliver the outputs required.
