About the Role

As a Proactive Desilt Technician, you’ll operate a Muller Canal Master recycler to carry out proactive desilting across Yorkshire, reducing pollution events and improving network performance. You’ll work alongside the Proactive Desilt Assistant and collaborate with internal teams and contractors to resolve operational issues.

Where you fit in:

As our Proactive Desilt Technician you will:

  • Operate recycler vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to sewer blockages and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Collect and report evidence (photos, plans) for remedial works.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Work in confined spaces (medical clearance required).

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • HGV Category C licence + DCPC.
  • Experience driving liquid-load vehicles.
  • Recycler vehicle operation experience.
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills.
  • IT competency and good communication skills.
  • Understanding of sewer networks and performance issues.
  • Previous wastewater industry experience (desirable).
