Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in September 2026, so you'll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (2-3 days office a week Bradford/Leeds).

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the Programme Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region and play a key role in the region's health, wellbeing, and prosperity.

New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry. Working within our Programme Management Office (PMO) you will contribute to the successful and timely delivery of projects through the provision of informative and targeted management information and analysis.

The Programme Analyst is responsible for communicating and proactively monitoring performance across a billion-pound construction programme. As such they will require a keen eye for detail and be adept at consolidating large volumes of data into insightful analysis and reporting.

Where you fit in: As our Finance Analyst you will:

  • Analyse and evaluate programme performance across a range of metrics: cost, time, quality (What is the data telling us?).
  • Support senior stakeholders in interpreting data and use it to support business cases.
  • Develop and seek to continuously improve existing reporting, ensuring that all stakeholder requirements are met.
  • Responsibility for data validation and identification of any areas requiring action or improvement.
  • Driving and monitoring governance standards across the programme.
  • The escalation of non-compliance with company governance, data management and approvals processes.
  • The provision of ad-hoc analytical support as required.

You must be highly proficient in Office applications including Power BI. Advanced Excel skills are a must. Experience of compiling, assessing and communicating complex data. Experience of using schedule software such as P6 or MS Project. Experience of working with commercial financial data. Experience of programme and project management/administration, working within a structured project management framework. Exposure to the end-to-end project lifecycle or of managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle.
