Where I’d work: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in Summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future, with a hybrid working arrangement in place, a mix of office and home working. We work 3 x days in the office per week.

Work type: We have 4 x opportunities available, these are fixed term positions for 12 x months, working full time. You will be expected to work 37 hours per week within a working window of 6:00am-9:00pm Monday to Friday and also some weekends, which you will receive days off during the week.

We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, and play a key role in the region’s health, wellbeing, and prosperity. New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry.

Where you fit in: You will plan and manage the efficient and compliant allocation of Service Delivery resources using a range of corporate systems and procedures. You will also manage orders for chemicals for our wastewater sites. Some key role responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the day to day resource plan of field operations and allocate and monitor internal/external resource to meet workload priorities using work management systems (WMS) for both cyclical and reactive jobs for field based staff.
  • Prioritise the work basket to meet commitments and job performance requirements.
  • Provide single point of contact for customers, giving information on job progression or where necessary closing the loop.
  • Identify potential incidents, co-ordinate initial response and ensure all relevant parties are aware.
  • Liaise with process optimisers to ensure optimum day to day performance of assets, particularly in regards monitoring all alarms and ensure responsibility for the resolution of the alarm, including raising work to cover anything required.
  • Administer and use various bespoke company databases to update current records and produce reports as requested.
  • Provide day to day responsibility for management and reporting of the Lone Worker system.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Previous experience of managing customers and progressing an issue to resolution.
  • Previous scheduling or planning experience.
  • Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
  • You will have strong communication skills and maintain effective relationships, as your role will involve day to day liaison with a wide range of internal teams and external contractors.
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team and under your own initiative.
  • Planning ability - identifying priorities and actions to assist in delivering results.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain flexibility.
  • Able to troubleshoot and investigate reporting anomalies, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to develop and deploy reporting requirements necessary to support customers and Yorkshire Water.
