This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future – Full time working in the office in Leeds.

As a PSOC Technician, you'll work in a fast-paced environment monitoring security systems, coordinating incident responses, and supporting critical security operations.

Where you fit in

As our Protective Security Operations Centre Technician, you will

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Protective Security Operations Centre (PSOC).
  • Respond promptly to IDS alarms and VSS alerts, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Support security operations through monitoring, incident response, escalation, and investigations.
  • Provide system administration and first-line support for PAC, Abloy Cliq, security contracts, guarding requests, and associated databases.
  • Maintain PSOC records, reports, spreadsheets, tracking systems, and fault logs.
  • Assist with training and development of PSOC operators, PST members, and security guards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies to support security activities.
  • Conduct routine system checks, identify issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide shift cover and administrative support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and Health & Safety standards while promoting high performance and ethical behaviour.
  • What skills & qualifications you will need
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience working in a control room environment, ideally with VSS monitoring systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional telephone manner with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Reliable, thorough, and proactive approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working within established policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • An effective team player who collaborates well with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and systems to improve operational performance.
  • A flexible approach to working patterns, including days, nights, weekends, and short-notice shift cover
