Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future.
Work type: Temporary – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
What we do: We provide essential water and wastewater services to the Yorkshire region, protecting the environment, and look after communities 24/7. Our Grounds Maintenance team plays a key role in meeting customer and regulator expectations.
Role Overview: The Pest Control Coordinator will digitise and maintain pest information, support vendor and operational managers, maintain GIS data, manage logs of completed and outstanding work, monitor workload through scheduling systems, suggest improvements, and collaborate with colleagues to address data issues and enhance performance. The role also involves scrutinising invoices and ensuring value for money.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with health and safety requirements.
- Liaise with operational managers to ensure accurate pest data.
- Complete finance activities including invoice checks, recharging costs to operational manager budgets, and raising purchase orders.
- Liaise with partners, Yorkshire Water colleagues and the Partner Support team to raise queries where data received does not meet data standards and identify areas of poor performance.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports on pest data.
- Take a forward-looking, proactive view in identifying opportunities and potential technical issues before they impact operational effectiveness or critical path planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with data.
- Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience following procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- High standards of integrity and ethics.
Desirable:
- GIS experience.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment assets and processes.
- Knowledge of water distribution and sewerage network assets and processes.
