Location: Leeds Valley Park (LS10 1AB) and Hybrid working (1-2 days per week in the office), including locations throughout the Yorkshire Region.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Data Science Undergrad to join the Asset Health & Performance Team in Kelda / Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

The Asset Health & Performance Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Working as part of a multidiscipline team covering Electrical, Mechanical and ICA and Data Analytics you will assist in providing data for investigating issues in our instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry systems for water and wastewater systems, driving improvements to the asset health and resilience whilst ensuring continued compliance to regulations.

Where you fit in:

  • Building, developing, improving, simplifying performance dashboards both Engineering, Complex Maintenance and Engineering Design /Assurance teams.
  • Developing and presenting timely reports on maintenance adherence to plan spanning various business units, asset groups, timeframes and engineering disciplines.
  • Providing feedback to stakeholders to ensure data quality within the company’s CMMS as well as asset condition monitoring platforms.
  • Compiling, analysing, and interpreting CMMS data to develop and present on accurate predictions.
  • Gathering and organising data from various sources, including maintenance logs, work orders, and sensor readings, to create comprehensive datasets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement data-driven solutions to improve maintenance strategies, workflows, and resource allocation.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Demonstrable analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to seek out information from a field of raw data, to interpret the information and provide intelligence to decision makers.
  • User of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Power Bi, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience of projects, partnership working and financial management.
  • The ability to demonstrate the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Previous experience in using SAP S4/Hana for reporting and data analysis.
  • Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
