Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1 to 2 office days a week Bradford/Leeds).
Work type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Join Yorkshire Water as a Service Manager for the Wastewater Services Agreement (WwSA) and play a pivotal role in delivering a high-performing, collaborative contract environment. Acting as the named Service Manager under an NEC4 Term Service Contract, you’ll take ownership of contract administration, ensuring both Yorkshire Water and its contractors meet their obligations while driving efficiency and value.
As our NEC Service Manager, you will:
- Lead the effective administration of the Wastewater Services Agreement (WwSA) in line with NEC4 Term Service Contract (Option A).
- Build and strengthen collaborative relationships with contractors.
- Organise, chair, and facilitate meetings relating to early warning notices and compensation events.
- Provide robust assurance that all parties are operating in line with contractual requirements.
- Manage contractual disagreements by seeking guidance from Commercial Services and Legal teams.
- Deliver end-to-end contract administration activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Wastewater colleagues.
- Engage regularly with contractors to discuss matters relating to the successful delivery and ongoing optimisation of the WwSA.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Demonstrated experience within the water or wastewater sector, or across wider utilities, process, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record of delivering sustainable performance against challenging business targets.
- Strong programme, project, or contract management experience.
- Holds, or is working towards, a relevant contract management qualification (e.g. NEC).
- Knowledge of wastewater network operations is advantageous.
- The ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships.
- Communicates confidently and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Applies strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
- Works independently with confidence, taking initiative and ownership to deliver results.
- Effectively manages contract partners, using KPIs and performance measures.
