Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in Spring 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (2 days office a week Bradford/Leeds). Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Implementation Lead to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

Reporting to the Water Efficiency Manager, the Business Implementation Lead is a business-critical role responsible for embedding the delivery of the AMP8 water efficiency programme, ensuring the demand reduction required to meet Performance Commitments for Per Capita Consumption (PCC) and Business Demand Reduction (NHH). The role will coordinate and shape programme initiatives, liaise with contract partners and third parties, and work closely with the Project Manager and Demand Analyst on forecasting, health and safety, and benefit realisation, while maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. The Business Implementation Lead will enable effective project delivery, ensuring benefits align with water resource management plan forecasts, and will support agile solutions to manage variances, working collaboratively with internal teams to integrate projects into the wider programme.
We are seeking an individual with strong project or programme management experience, ideally within a UK regulated utilities environment.
Where you fit in: As our Business Implementation Lead you will:
- Partner with colleagues across the business to support the creation, mobilisation, and successful delivery of the AMP8 Water Efficiency programme.
- Coordinate internally delivered projects to ensure alignment with the Water Efficiency delivery roadmap and overall programme objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the Smart Team to embed smart metering capability and maximise demand reduction outcomes.
- Bring together Demand Analysts, Project Managers, and contract partners to deliver a cohesive plan for programme delivery and benefits realisation.
- Lead on governance activities including DPIA/GDPR compliance, benefits case development, tracking, and transition into fully costed business cases.
- Manage supply chain relationships and external stakeholders, ensuring strong contract performance via SLAs and supporting innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across water efficiency initiatives.

- Proven experience in leading business change, including business readiness, resource planning, change impact assessment, process mapping, requirements gathering, and project planning.
- Strong ability to analyse complex data sets and produce clear, insightful management information to support decision-making and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and present effectively to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, influencing leaders and driving collaboration across the business.
- Highly analytical, with experience in documenting and improving business processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

- Experience in delivering business systems and applications from inception through to BAU, with a strong focus on data and analytics.
- Good understanding of GDPR and compliance controls, with experience working alongside DPOs, alongside knowledge of regulated utilities, including water balance calculations and performance metrics such as PCC and Business Demand.
