Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the Water Production Maintenance Team at Yorkshire Water. This role involves maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical assets across Clean Water infrastructure, mobile working as part of a Maintenance Team, and responding to emergency calls on a call-out rota. Work location is primarily Goole / Doncaster with the Southeast Water Production Maintenance Team serving over 4.5 million customers.
Location: Goole / Doncaster
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours across 4 days, Mon-Fri with a rolling rota day. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in a call out stand-by rota (typically 1 week in 7).

Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance of Yorkshire Water\'s Electrical and Mechanical assets across Clean Water infrastructure.
- Operate in a mobile maintenance team to deliver Planned & Reactive maintenance; respond to emergency calls as required.
- Drive to deliver improved asset reliability through effective decision making.
- Supervise approved Contract Partners; provide risk assessments and method statements where a permit to work is required.
- Use a Toughbook to capture all work activity and status in line with workflow processes.
- Assist in the development and training of apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Install and commission new plant and equipment to relevant standards.
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant; identify follow-on work or areas for enhancement.
- Specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of day-to-day duties.
What skills & qualifications you will need
Essential
- Recognised Electrical Craft/Technician Apprenticeship and a qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Eng Tech (e.g., City & Guilds/ONC/BTEC/NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Industrial electrician experience with fault finding on control circuits up to PLC, and experience with industrial motors, starters, LV control circuits, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to produce maintenance reports and be IT literate (MS Office).
- Full valid EU driving licence and ability to visit sites across the Yorkshire Region.
Desirable
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City and Guilds 2382-18).
Additional requirements
- Experience of safe isolation to current IET regulations; time-served in an industrial electrician role; fault finding on 3-phase systems; risk assessment and method statement preparation when required.
- Experience with fault finding on LV control circuits and in environments with rotating equipment.
- IT literacy and ability to produce maintenance reports; willingness to mentor others.

- You will be required to visit sites across the Yorkshire Region; a full valid driving licence is essential.
