We offer a salary from £46,523 – £58,154 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working

Work type: This is a permanent position. Working 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Designer to join the Customer Experience Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Where you fit in:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Digital Product Designer to join our team, focusing on shaping engaging and user-centric website experiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX researchers, to deliver outstanding digital journeys for our customers.

Some key responsibilities include the following –

• Design and develop user-friendly, innovative, and accessible website interfaces that align with Yorkshire Water’s brand identity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into intuitive digital solutions.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform and refine designs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a deep understanding of web design trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement to digital platforms.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility standards throughout the organisation.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Proven experience as a Digital Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or a similar role, with a focus on website experiences.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility standards (, WCAG).
• Ability to create responsive designs that work seamlessly across devices and platforms.
• Experience with user research techniques and data-driven design approaches.
• Collaborative and communicative team player, capable of articulating design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A portfolio showcasing previous work on digital product design projects, especially website improvements or redesigns.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Creative problem-solver with attention to detail and a drive for innovation.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
