Location: Hybrid Working across the Yorkshire Water region (typically 1-2 days in office a week - location to suit home location).

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We are looking for a Storm Overflow Project Engineer to develop and deliver capital interventions aimed at reducing the frequency, volume, and impact of storm overflows on the water environment. This role will help improve Yorkshire Water's performance against EPA and ODI metrics for storm overflows.

Where you fit in! As our Storm Overflow Project Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with Operations, River Health, and Delivery Partners to develop cost-effective capital solutions for storm overflow reductions.
  • Ensure proposed interventions meet company standards and regulatory obligations without negatively impacting customer service or company targets.
  • Oversee the safe and timely delivery of capital interventions within the agreed scope and budget.
  • Track and record performance improvements from delivered interventions and integrate learnings into future projects.
  • Promote innovative spill reduction methods and work collaboratively with suppliers and partners to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify and address asset risks or opportunities through proactive collaboration with operational teams and Flow/Spill Specialists.
  • Ensure unfunded spill risks are mitigated and tracked appropriately.
