We have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Project Coordinator to join our Energy Project Development Team. We offer a competitive salary, depending on experience, £27,051. Location: Western House, Bradford (moving to Leeds Valley Park between September and December of 2026) with hybrid working (1-2 days per week in the office), including locations throughout the Yorkshire Region. Work type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join the Energy Project Development team in Kelda / Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. The Energy Project Development Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. The team also supports the wider business with exciting and innovative projects leveraging more value out of our assets and raw materials and waste products. The wider department is also accountable for commercial and contractual arrangements across the supply chain and to deliver leading and world-class contract management processes.

As a Project Coordinator you will:
- Connect with our Early in Careers team who will support you through your Undergraduate placement with us.
- Act as support and liaison for all aspects of schemes, coordinating communications regarding purchase orders, contractors, general customer enquiries (internal and external) and to provide an essential support function for the whole team.
- Provide support to Project Managers in provision of project administration and governance management.
- Follow corporate governance processes and procedures for project delivery.
- Co-ordinate and manage the booking of team meetings, including the recording of actions and minutes.
- Raise and manage the progress of purchase orders and reporting issues.
- Produce financial data for projects, updating, monitoring and reporting.
- Be able to develop project proposals and feasibilities for a portfolio of your own projects.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Knowledge of renewable projects, gas projects or heat projects from an engineering or project development perspective.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience of projects, partnership working and financial management.
- The ability to demonstrate the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours.
You will also benefit from having:
- Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
- Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
