The predicted salary is between 40110 - 43015 £ per year.

Location: We are currently looking to recruit Electrical Engineer to work across the Yorkshire region in our Service Centre Asset Maintenance Department here at Yorkshire Water.
Work type: Permanent. You’ll be working 37 hours per week plus additional overtime as required.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will undertake repairs and maintenance of Yorkshire Water's Electrical and Mechanical assets across wastewater treatment and pumping installations. Mobile working as part of a Service Centre Asset Maintenance Department to deliver Planned & Reactive maintenance. Driving to deliver improved asset reliability through effective decision making.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical equipment across Yorkshire Water’s Clean and Wastewater sites.
- Completing all work safely, professionally, and efficiently, ensuring high standards of electrical engineering practice.
- Assessing and condemning faulty equipment on-site before returning it to the workshop for repair.
- Carrying out pre‑hire and post‑hire assessments on electrical side of our pump equipment, including control panels; completing electrical testing; inspecting pump wear components; assisting with the installation of new equipment; disconnecting electrical equipment; and providing broader electrical support.
- Working closely with the Service Centre Coordinator to prioritise workloads and maintain effective relationships with operational teams, colleagues, suppliers, and contract partners.
- Identifying and reporting follow‑on work or areas for improvement.
- Conducting your own risk assessments and developing appropriate method statements as required.
- Specifying parts and equipment needed for procurement.
- Using a Toughbook/iPad to record work activity and update job status in line with workflow processes.
- Supporting the development and training of apprentices and less experienced team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
It is an essential requirement that you hold a recognised Electrical Craft/Technician Apprenticeship and either a City & Guilds/ ONC/ BTEC/ NVQ/ HNC/ HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Eng Tech. A full valid driving licence (with no more than six points) is also essential.
Desirable qualifications include:
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City and Guilds 2382-18).
- CompEx 1 – 4.
- HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Mandatory experience & knowledge:
- Safe isolation to the current IET regulations.
- Time served industrial electrician.
- Fault finding on control circuits up to the PLC.
- IT literate e.g., MS Office.
- Ability to produce maintenance reports.
- Experience of fault finding with industrial motors and starters.
- Experience fault finding with industrial 3 phase systems.
- Experience working with rotating equipment.
- Experience of fault finding on LV control circuits.
Desirable experience & knowledge:
- Experience of pneumatics.
- Work within ATEX standards.
- Experience of maintaining UPS systems.
- Fault finding experience of soft start or variable speed drives.
- Fault finding experience of actuated valves.
Ideally, you will have previous experience gained as an industrial electrician within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process, or manufacturing industry sectors. You will have a proven track record of maintaining and repairing 3 phase rotating machinery and associated control systems.
