Location: Hybrid Working (1-2 days in the office a week across Yorkshire). Work type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance Design and Assurance Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

What we do: We ensure that over 5.4 million people living in the region can rely on our services, and have clean and safe drinking water on tap and that their wastewater is taken away. We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire's water, today, tomorrow 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, playing a key role in the region's health, wellbeing, and prosperity.

The Maintenance Design and Assurance team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. As a Reliability Engineer within this team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of asset performance and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing and optimising Above Ground, Below Ground and Nature Based Solution asset specific equipment maintenance strategies and overall asset technical practices and standards.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the asset preventative maintenance program.
  • Compiling and maintaining asset criticality and equipment risk registers.
  • Reviewing maintenance performance and reliability data to identify critical assets/risks and instigating RCAs for issue resolution.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining key reliability improvement processes across the YW electrical Assets.
  • Providing documented evidence of improvements and savings and highlighting risk to the Business.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
  • Relevant maintenance experience.
  • Significant knowledge and application of reliability improvement techniques and practices.
  • Broad experience with equipment maintenance.
  • Extensive experience of, and proficiency in the use of, Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS, e.g. SAP S4).
  • Previous experience of supporting and embedding change.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels and departments within the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Water Industry and Nature Based Solution experience.
