Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future.

Work type: Temporary - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We have an exciting 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Pest Control Coordinator to join the grounds maintenance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

Our Grounds maintenance team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.

Our Pest Control Coordinator will digitise and maintain pest information to meet data quality standards and ensure compliance. The role involves providing administrative support to vendor and operational managers, maintaining and updating GIS information, and managing logs of completed and outstanding work. You will be required to monitor workload through scheduling systems, suggesting improvements for data quality and processes, and collaborating with colleagues and partners to address data issues and enhance performance. Also, you will scrutinise invoices and check quality of work to ensure that the business is getting value for money, but the standard expected is adhered to.

Where you fit in: As our Pest Control Coordinator, you will:

  • Comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with operational managers to ensure accurate pest data.
  • Complete finance activities including invoice checks, recharging costs to operational manager budgets and raising purchase orders.
  • Liaise with partners, YW Colleagues and the Partner Support team to raise queries where data received does not meet YW’s data standards and identify areas of poor performance.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports on pest data.
  • Take a forward looking, proactive view in identifying opportunities and potential technical issues, before they impact operational effectiveness or critical path planning.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.
  • Experience of working with Data.
  • The ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to all levels, both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of following procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to develop and work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • High standards of integrity & ethics.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment assets and processes.
  • Knowledge of water distribution and sewerage networks assets and processes.
