Location: West Yorkshire / Hybrid Working (typically 1 day in the office a week Bradford- Leeds).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Resource Options & Resilience Planner to join the new Asset Management directorate at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

Where you fit in: As our Water Resource Options & Resilience Planner you will:
- Coordinate the implementation of Yorkshire Waters options development framework to support strategic water planning.
- Lead the review and update of the Water Supply Systems Strategy.
- Align and integrate planning frameworks across business functions.
- Ensure the programme meets regulatory and government expectations across engineering, cost, environment, and water safety.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities and support commercial development.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities within the programme.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
- Ensure financial and commercial decisions align with company strategy.
- Interpret regulatory requirements to guide service and performance risk.
- Shape long-term investment plans to meet performance and customer outcomes.
- Represent asset strategies and environmental obligations in business cases.
- Monitor and control expenditure in partnership with finance teams.
- Contribute to team performance by linking individual goals to wider objectives.
- Manage priority projects effectively and deliver results.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Strong understanding of water supply systems and water resources planning.
- Technical knowledge of water distribution networks.
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography).
- Solid grasp of UK water policy, regulation, and legislation.
- Proven experience in data compilation, analysis, interpretation, and communication.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and balance stakeholder needs effectively.
- Proficient in IT systems, with experience analysing complex datasets.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging targets.
- Full UK driving licence.
