Location: This role will initially be based in Bradford but we are moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you'll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (2-3 days in the office a week and occasional travel to operational sites within the Yorkshire region).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance Business Partner team supporting Yorkshire Water to deliver their business plan across the Asset Management function. The team drive performance with insight led analysis and develop plans to align with our Regulatory Requirements.
Where you fit in: As our Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day financial performance of the Asset Management function, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and insight.
- Deliver high-quality financial support across statutory, regulatory and commercial reporting, ensuring decisions are informed, robust and value focused.
- Act as a key member of the Management Team, constructively challenging and collaborating with the team to drive performance and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of challenging but deliverable financial plans, balancing risk, affordability, efficiency and long-term asset performance.
- Provide financial insight to support totex decision-making, investment prioritisation and the delivery of key performance and regulatory commitments.
- Ensure strong governance and financial controls remain effective and efficient.
- Support long term investment planning and price review processes to ensure operational and investment plans submitted to Ofwat are robust, evidence based and aligned to business priorities.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (or currently studying towards one), or equivalent experience within a commercial, financial or regulatory environment.
- Bring at least 2 years experience partnering within complex organisations or operating across intricate business models.
- Industry understanding, particularly in relation to regulatory finance.
- Demonstrate the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and drive improvements that lead to better outcomes.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills.
- Experience of working with SAP would be advantageous.
- Previous experience with budgeting, rolling forecasts and financial planning cycles.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Show a strong ability to manage competing priorities, with a track record of performing successfully in fast paced, high pressure environments.
