Location: This role is regional however predominantly it will cover the South of our region in Yorkshire. Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

You will provide expert technical support and guidance to service partners across all aspects of combined sewage overflow (CSO) asset operation and proactive maintenance, supporting Customer Field Services and the wider business. The team plays a vital role in delivering safe, compliant and high quality CSO maintenance, reducing repeat issues, protecting customers and the environment, and driving operational excellence across the sewerage network.

This is a varied field and office based role, focused on coaching service partners, assuring inspection quality, promoting first time fix, and reviewing customer complaints to ensure the right actions are taken. Your work will directly improve sewer performance, customer experience and environmental outcomes across the region.

As our Contract Delivery Network Specialist you will:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, putting people at the heart of everything you do and ensuring individual actions contribute to wider team and business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to service partners carrying out CSO inspections and operational activity, promoting safe, compliant and first-time-fix delivery.
  • Lead on health, safety and risk management, including reviewing and creating RAMS, issuing confined space permits, and ensuring all issues are reported and managed via Safeguard.
  • Coach, train and support colleagues and service partners, ensuring consistent standards, safe working practices and high-quality inspections are achieved and evidenced.
  • Support incident response for pollution and flooding events, providing technical input, documentation and assurance to help teams manage incidents effectively and prevent repeats.
  • Investigate, review and resolve operational incidents and service partner issues, driving a zero-repeat culture and validating technical and financial follow-on work.
  • Work closely with Asset Management and internal stakeholders to secure appropriate funding routes, manage capital triggers and ensure asset failures are resolved effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity, improving ways of working, use of technology, cost-effective solutions and consistent application of processes to protect customers and the environment.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Strong experience in health and safety management, including the use of formal systems, processes and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment, managing day-to-day workloads, prioritising tasks quickly and intervening to mitigate risk.
  • Good understanding of sewerage systems and operational performance issues, ideally gained within the water, wastewater or wider utilities sector.
  • Strong customer focus, with experience in customer-facing roles and the confidence to communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders face to face.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and build effective working relationships, both internally and externally, supported by accurate evidence capture and feedback.
  • IT-literate and operationally competent, with experience using relevant systems, appropriate accreditation for high-pressure jetting equipment, and a full UK driving licence.

You will also benefit from having:

  • Previous experience in a commercially orientated and/or regulated environment.
  • Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.
