Are you an experienced first‑opinion Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in a supportive, well‑equipped hospital environment? We’re seeking someone who enjoys a varied caseload and takes pride in delivering high‑quality general practice care.

The Rota

We aim to create a varied and fulfilling working day for our team. Your responsibilities will include a balance of consultations, routine and occasional surgical procedures, client communication and call backs, inpatient care and diagnostic workups. The role is ideally 4 or 5 days per week, with shifts typically running between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, plus participation in our Saturday rota (8:00 am – 12:00 pm), usually 1 in 4. However, we recognise that everyone’s circumstances are different, so we’re more than happy to discuss flexible working patterns that suit you.

You’ll join a friendly, stable team across our hospital and five branch practice, where collaboration, clinical standards, and professional development genuinely matter with support from certificate holders in ophthalmology, surgery, and dermatology.

The Role

This position is ideal for an experienced GP vet who wants to stay grounded in first‑opinion work while benefitting from the facilities and caseload of a hospital setting. Your responsibilities will include first‑opinion consultations, inpatient care and clinical decision‑making, diagnostic workups including imaging. This role is predominantly hospital‑based, with branch cover and the ability to shape the role around your clinical interests. We are a well‑equipped practice with digital X‑ray, diagnostic ultrasound (including Doppler), endoscopy and in‑house laboratory and blood analysers.
