Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd (YPEL) is a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Keighley. We manufacture high precision turned and milled components for customers in industries including medical and oil.
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team and lead our manufacturing operations across our two production facilities.
The Role
Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of production, ensuring work flows through the business efficiently and on time, while working closely with the Quality Manager to ensure quality standards are met. You will also work alongside and manage the team leaders of the relevant sections to ensure a smooth workflow and that everything is organised.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and monitor production across both manufacturing sites to achieve customer delivery dates.
- Lead, motivate and manage the shop floor team, ensuring everyone understands daily priorities and production targets.
- Allocate work effectively alongside the Technical Director, ensuring machines and operators are utilised efficiently.
- Hold regular production meetings and communicate priorities clearly across the business.
- Monitor production progress throughout the day and resolve scheduling issues before they affect delivery.
