CNC Sliding Head Setter / Operator (Star / Fanuc) 4 Day Week | Excellent Rates of Pay | Modern Star Machines Yorkshire Precision Engineering Ltd (YPEL) is a well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Keighley. We manufacture high precision turned and milled components for customers in industries including Medical, Oil & Gas, Space, Brewing, Hydraulics and General Engineering. We're looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter / Operator to join our Star Sliding Head section. The Role You'll be setting and operating Star Sliding Head CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, producing high precision batch work ranging from around 50-off through to larger production runs. The work is varied, using a wide range of materials including stainless steels, brass, aluminium, plastics and exotic alloys. What we're looking for * Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathes. * Sliding Head experience is preferred, but we will consider people with any Turning or Fanuc experience as Training is provided. * Able to read engineering drawings. * Confident using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges. * Someone who takes pride in producing quality work and can work on their own initiative. Programming experience would be an advantage but is not essential. What we offer * Excellent rates of pay depending on experience. * 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday). * 40 hours per week – 7:00am to 5:30pm. * 264 hours annual holiday. * An extra 10 hours holiday after every 3 years' service. * Modern Star Sliding Head machines. * Ongoing training and support. * Annual pay and performance reviews. * Bright Exchange employee discount scheme. * Free onsite parking. * Monthly pay. * Overtime available.
