Are you a residential conveyancer looking for something a little different from the traditional high-volume conveyancing environment? This is a genuinely rare opportunity to join one of Yorkshire’s most respected and highly ranked commercial law firms, working within an established Commercial Property team on a premium-quality residential caseload.

The role offers exposure to an exceptional client base, including nationally recognised clients in the not-for-profit sector, and senior business leaders, alongside the chance to develop your career within a progressive and highly regarded practice. This award-winning Yorkshire practice has built an outstanding reputation for combining technical excellence with a genuinely people-focused culture.

Consistently recognised in the Legal 500 and known for its strength across commercial disciplines, the firm attracts high-quality work and longstanding client relationships across the region and beyond. Despite its impressive reputation, the culture remains approachable, collaborative and down-to-earth. Lawyers are encouraged to develop their careers in a supportive environment where quality of work and client care take precedence over volume and targets. The firm has also embraced flexible and hybrid working, recognising the importance of balance alongside professional ambition.

The Opportunity: Sitting within the Commercial Property team, this role offers a refreshing alternative to traditional residential conveyancing positions. You’ll handle a low-volume, high-quality caseload primarily acting for major national organisations (with significant property portfolios), alongside company directors and commercial clients who already have established relationships with the firm. The work is varied, client-focused and service-led, with an emphasis on delivering a seamless, high-calibre experience rather than managing an overwhelming volume of files.

This is an ideal opportunity for a solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer from NQ level upwards who enjoys building relationships, takes pride in delivering exceptional client service, and wants to work in a more sophisticated and commercially connected environment. You’ll be joining a highly respected team where your contribution will be valued and where there is genuine scope to broaden your experience over time.

About You: The firm is keen to hear from lawyers who:

  • Have experience running residential conveyancing transactions independently
  • Deliver a gold-standard client experience and communicate confidently with clients and colleagues alike
  • Are organised, commercially aware and detail-focused
  • Enjoy relationship-led work rather than volume processing
  • Want to be part of a collaborative, ambitious and well-regarded firm

Applications are welcomed from NQ solicitors through to candidates with several years’ PQE, as well as experienced legal executives and licensed conveyancers.

Why Apply?

  • Join a Legal 500 recognised commercial firm with an excellent market reputation
  • High-quality, relationship-driven work
  • Low-volume caseload with strong client exposure
  • Opportunity to work closely with commercial property colleagues and clients
  • Supportive, collaborative culture
  • Hybrid working and genuine work-life balance
  • Excellent long-term career prospects within a respected Yorkshire practice
