Residential Property Solicitor | Coastal Lifestyle | Quality Local Client Base
Filey | Qualified Solicitor / FCILEX | Up to £50,000 | Hybrid Working
What if your next move wasn't about chasing bigger billing targets... but enjoying practice again?
For many Residential Property lawyers, the biggest frustration isn't the work itself. It's unrealistic expectations, lack of support and feeling like just another number.
QED Legal's client is looking to appoint a Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its well-established North Yorkshire practice following the departure of a longstanding fee earner and continued growth in demand.
This is a genuine opportunity to inherit an established caseload within a firm that has built its reputation over generations through repeat business, local recommendations and long-standing client relationships.
You’ll advise clients across a broad range of Residential Property matters, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Transfers of equity.
- Remortgages.
- New build transactions.
- Equity release matters.
- Registered and unregistered land.
- Supporting local individuals, families and business owners throughout the transaction process.
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX).
- Experience managing a Residential Conveyancing caseload independently.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- A practical, organised approach to managing files.
- The ability to build lasting client relationships within the local community.
- Experience with Commercial Property would be advantageous but isn't essential.
This opportunity would suit a Residential Property Solicitor, Residential Conveyancer, Conveyancing Solicitor, Property Lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive looking to join a stable, supportive firm where client relationships still come first.
Unlike many conveyancing teams, only qualified lawyers undertake fee‑earning work, supported by an experienced administrative team that allows you to focus on delivering quality legal advice. The business has recently expanded through acquisition and continues to invest in its future while maintaining the collaborative culture that's helped it retain staff for many years.
A 35-hour working week, hybrid working once established, Death in Service cover, Christmas office closure and a genuinely supportive working environment complete an opportunity that's well suited to someone looking for long-term stability rather than constant pressure.
- 35-hour working week
- hybrid working once established
- Death in Service cover
- Christmas office closure
- and a genuinely supportive working environment
