I'm working with a well-loved Yorkshire practice offering an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy Residential Property team. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, client‑focused, and thrives in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting fee earners and the wider team, ensuring a smooth and efficient conveyancing process from instruction through to completion. This is a varied position where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing work through digital dictation systems (BigHand)
  • Using a case management system to progress files
  • Requesting property searches and AML checks
  • Submitting Land Registry applications
  • Handling calls and enquiries from clients and third parties
  • Managing emails, post, and general correspondence
  • Assisting with file opening and closing
  • Supporting fee earners with day-to-day tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with firm procedures and quality standards

About You

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Some knowledge of the conveyancing process (preferred)
  • Able to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • Strong word processing and administrative skills
  • Comfortable working in a busy, target‑driven team
  • Positive attitude and aligned with firm values
