Conveyancing Assistant – Ilkley
Are you an enthusiastic and organised legal professional looking to grow your conveyancing career within a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm? We are currently seeking a Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join a respected Residential Property department, supporting Fee Earners in delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fee earners with residential conveyancing matters, ensuring an efficient and cost-effective service
Undertake supervised fee-earning work, including:
- File creation and matter opening procedures
- Preparation of client care correspondence
- Completion of client questionnaires
- Respond to routine client enquiries and maintain regular communication throughout the transaction
- Manage matter start and completion data for compliance and reporting purposes
- Deputise for fee earners during absence, escalating urgent matters where appropriate
- Adhere to firm-wide quality procedures, progressing all client work in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality and security of client and firm data at all times
- Ensure full compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and the SRA Code of Conduct
- Support the development and marketing of the department in line with the business strategy

- Prior experience in a conveyancing support role (essential).
- Strong understanding of residential property processes.
