The Opportunity
To join a rapidly expanding owner managed business with a clear vision for future growth delivering exceptional customer service through quality products, services and employee well being. The engineering department delivers exceptional customer service on a daily basis and has the most customer contact of any department in the business. Therefore, your day-to-day contribution will be instrumental in driving continual improvements and in cementing our brands position as the leader of our industry. Although a demand driven role occasionally requiring the need to be able to deviate from a planned schedule, you are backed up by a wider team of service and spares planners to help maintain as much pro-activity as possible to keep excess travel and overnight stays to a minimum and spread evenly across the team. Customer focus is very much at the heart of YPS so investment is and always will be provided to continually improve this where possible. Responsibilities
- Having the ability to liaise with both customers and colleagues to ensure YPS maintains the customer service excellence that we pride ourselves on, is essential to the role.
- Servicing, maintaining, and installing a range of equipment at customers sites nationwide.
- Attend customers site in a timely manner to carry out the task assigned and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Respond to customer demand promptly and professionally working autonomously as well as part of a wider team.
- Install new machines and provide full operator training individually and as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively to liaise with: Customers both on site and to help to diagnose problems over the phone, the engineering and admin team, the sales team.
- Participation in training courses, as and when required.
- This post does involve regular travel and overnight stays at short notice, as required.
Required skills:
- The minimum skills and qualifications required for this role include: Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
- Field engineering experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Polite telephone manner.
- Self-Motivation with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
- The ability to provide a digital job report on completion of a daily task using excellent English/Grammar.
Location and Package
Ideally the successful candidate would live between YPS and the midlands. Salary Range £50,000 - £55,000 dependent upon experience and skill set. Contributory pension scheme currently to 3% of salary. 20 days annual leave plus all.
