Overview
We\’re on the lookout for an Information Security Manager to help us keep our data safe and sound. In this role you’ll shape and drive our information security strategy, making sure our systems are protected from any online threats.
You won’t be hands-on with engineering, but your know-how will make a big difference as you work closely with our Technology teams. Based in our Technology, Insight, and Change Directorate, you’ll be supporting colleagues right across Yorkshire Housing, all while keeping our Customer Obsessed values at heart of all you’ll do. We’re all about flexibility and teamwork, and we’ll make sure your input genuinely shapes what we do.
Responsibilities
You’ll be at the heart of keeping Yorkshire Housing’s data secure, shaping our approach to information security and making sure our systems stay one step ahead of the latest threats. Working with teams right across the business, you’ll drive our security strategy, set out policies and standards, and make sure we’re ticking all the boxes when it comes to best practice—think ISO27001, NIST and more.
There’ll be plenty of variety, from overseeing security checks and audits to running penetration tests and drawing up plans to fix anything that needs fixing. You’ll be hands-on with risk management, carrying out reviews, sharing what you find, and helping teams make good decisions that put our customers first.
You’ll roll out our security roadmap, collaborate with others to tackle risks head-on, and keep your finger on the pulse when it comes to new threats and ways to deal with them. If there’s ever a cyber incident, you’ll lead the charge on our response, run practice drills and make sure everyone knows what to do.
Part of your role will be to lead a small team, work with external experts, support our Business Continuity Plan, and keep everyone in the loop when it comes to security issues. You’ll also run awareness campaigns and training to give everyone the know-how to keep our data safe.
In short, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things information security, helping us protect what matters most—our customers and our people.
