This is a key role supporting the delivery of safe, compliant homes across Yorkshire Housing. You'll take a technical lead in delivering landlord compliance across areas such as gas, electrical safety, asbestos, lifts, legionella, damp & mould and HHSRS—ensuring programmes are effectively planned, delivered, and quality assured.

You'll also monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance data is accurate and robust, and support assurance and reporting across the organisation. This is a hands‐on, detail‐focused role where your technical knowledge and ability to interpret compliance data will help us maintain high standards and keep our customers safe.

The role follows our agile homeworking approach, so you'll primarily work from home, but with a clear expectation that you'll be out and about across our sites as needed—carrying out inspections, audits, and supporting operational delivery. You'll also need the flexibility to attend our Leeds workspace when required, for example for team meetings, collaboration sessions, or key activities.

Who are we looking for?

  • A minimum Level 4 qualification in Assets, Building Safety, or a related area, or be willing to work towards
  • Strong operational knowledge of landlord compliance areas (e.g. gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene, lifts, damp & mould, HHSRS)
  • Experience carrying out inspections, audits, or quality checks within a compliance or property setting
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing workloads and priorities
  • Confidence working with complex compliance data, with the ability to interpret, maintain, and ensure accuracy of records
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Confidence speaking with customers, including handling complaints or more complex technical conversations in a clear and empathetic way
  • Strong IT and systems skills, including experience working with compliance databases
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across teams and manage relationships with contractors
