It’s an exciting time at Yorkshire Housing as we continue to transform how we work, improving our technology and creating even better experiences for our customers. We’re looking for a talented Change Communications Specialist to join us and play a key role in bringing our transformation to life through clear, engaging and impactful communication.
We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home, but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives.
We’ve got big plans to overhaul the traditional customer service offer, build new homes that are truly future-proof and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work. Our investment in technology is a key pillar of our strategy and our change team are working on exciting, complex and ambitious programmes to deliver a pre-emptive customer experience.
Responsibilities
You’ll help bring our transformation to life – making sure colleagues feel informed, involved and confident as we change and improve how we work. Working closely with our Change and Communications teams, you’ll turn complex ideas into simple, engaging messages that really land. Day to day, you’ll:
- Create and deliver engaging internal comms and campaigns that support change
- Work with teams across YH to plan the right approach and tell the story well
- Produce content across different channels – from events and videos to blogs and briefings
- Support leaders to communicate clearly and confidently with their teams
- Build great relationships and be a trusted partner across the business
- Use feedback and insight to keep improving how we communicate and engage
In this Agile Homeworking role, much of your time will be spent working from home. But you’ll need to be able to travel to our Hubs or come into our Leeds workspace as and when needed for team meetings, co‑working and those moments when it’s just easier (and nicer!) to get around a table together.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings a great mix of creativity, organisation and influence, with solid experience delivering change communications in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be confident working across projects, building relationships and helping people understand and embrace change. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can turn complex ideas into clear, engaging messages that really connect with colleagues.
You’ll bring:
- Experience of planning and delivering change communications strategies within a project environment
- A strong track record of driving colleague engagement through large-scale change
- Confidence to work closely with teams and be visible across the business
- A creative approach, with the ability to design engaging campaigns and content
- Excellent copywriting and content creation skills
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects at pace
- Knowledge of internal comms channels, tools and best practice
- The confidence to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be a trusted partner to the business
What’s in it for you
Salary: £38,439.98 per annum (35 hours/week)
