Looking for a fun summer role where no two days are the same? Join our team at Mission Out and help fuel the fun! We’re on the lookout for a Kitchen Assistant to work in our Load & Go Refuel Hub, while also flexing into our Churros Hut when needed. This is a varied, hands-on role where great food and brilliant customer service go hand in hand.
Working pattern: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10:30am – 4:00pm. There may also be some ad-hoc weekend shifts available before the summer holidays for those keen to get started early!
What you’ll be doing:
- In the Refuel Hub you will:
- Prepare ingredients (chopping, grating, prepping food items)
- Help create our loaded ciabattas, flatbreads, chips and jacket potatoes
- Manage stock, deliveries and storage
- Carry out temperature checks and follow food safety standards
- Reduce waste and check dates to keep everything compliant
- In the Churros Hut you will:
- Cook churros and prepare waffles using fryers
- Serve customers and operate the till
- Deliver fast, friendly and efficient service
- Across both areas you will:
- Maintain high food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Support front of house when needed, confidently interacting with customers
- Follow all health & safety procedures
- Work as part of a supportive and energetic team
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a kitchen, café or fast-paced food environment (ideal)
- Confident, friendly and customer-focused
- Good awareness of food safety and allergens
- A team player who’s happy to get stuck in wherever needed
You must be 18 or over due to Health & Safety requirements.
