Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities for children across EYFS - KS2.
  • Help create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment that promotes exploration, play, and early learning.
  • Assist in the personal, social, emotional, and educational development of young children through targeted support and encouragement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff and contribute to planning, observation, and assessment.

Requirements

  • Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent). Level 3 is desirable.
  • Experience working with children in EYFS or nursery settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and patient approach.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting early childhood development.
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • Must pass all background safer recruiting checks and possess a thorough knowledge and awareness of safeguarding and child protection.
