We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of secondary schools in York. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, short-term assignments, or long-term contracts, we have opportunities to suit your availability and experience.
About the Role:- Support pupils with a range of SEND needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support and interventions.
- Help create inclusive, nurturing learning environments where every child can thrive.
- Roles available in mainstream and specialist settings.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or youth settings).
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
Monday to Friday, school hours (term-time only). Choose your availability - full-time or part-time options available.
Requirements:- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
