We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school located in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainment.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
- Curriculum and Assessment
- Use a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress.
- Track pupil data and contribute to school-wide monitoring and reporting.
- Pupil Support and Well-being
- Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
- Identify and support pupils with additional needs, liaising with SENCO and external agencies where appropriate.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attitudes to learning.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with parents/carers about pupil progress and well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
- Classroom and Resource Management
- Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
- Ensure resources are used effectively and safely.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Professional Development
