We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Subject Leader of Technology to work in a secondary school located in York. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes for young people. The successful candidate will join a well-established Technology faculty and lead Design Technology and Food Technology, with a specialism in Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Design Technology and Food Technology within the department.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across a range of Technology subjects.
- Inspire, motivate, and challenge students across KS3 and KS4.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to ensure high standards of achievement.
- Contribute to the development of the wider Technology curriculum.
- Support and develop colleagues within the department.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, whole-school initiatives, and CPD opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

- Previous leadership experience or readiness to take on a leadership role.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
