We are currently supporting a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Thirsk that is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their Key Stage 2 team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers, lead whole-class learning when required, deliver small-group interventions, and contribute to the planning and assessment of pupils' progress. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on additional responsibility within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality learning support across KS2
  • Lead whole-class teaching in the teacher's absence
  • Support planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
  • Deliver targeted small-group interventions to raise attainment
  • Provide effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour

Qualifications
