We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Therapist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in orthodontic procedures, with a focus on patient care, clinical support, and technical expertise. As an Orthodontic Therapist, you will play a vital role in assisting orthodontists with treatment delivery, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice. Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient consultations, adjustments, and procedures with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare and maintain orthodontic appliances, including braces, aligners, and retainers, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Utilize CAD software for designing orthodontic appliances and assist in interpreting medical imaging to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic care and provide post-treatment instructions to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment progress notes, imaging results, and appliance specifications.
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment in compliance with health standards.
- Collaborate with the dental team to streamline workflow and enhance patient experience through effective communication and coordination.
- Stay updated on advances in orthodontic technology, including anatomy knowledge and emerging CAD applications, to continually improve service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Therapist or similar role within a dental practice or clinic.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software relevant to orthodontics and familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
- Solid understanding of human anatomy related to oral structures and facial bones to assist in precise appliance placement.
- Excellent manual dexterity combined with attention to detail for appliance fabrication and adjustments.
