The Digital & Content Manager is the strategic and operational lead of Yorkshire’s digital ecosystem. You will define and execute the Club’s digital roadmap across cricket and non-cricket activity, owning channel strategy, content planning, and publishing cadence to ensure the right content reaches the right audience at the right time. You will lead Yorkshire Studios, set creative and editorial standards, manage workflow, and ensure digital activity drives measurable audience growth, engagement, and commercial impact.

The successful candidate will shape how the Club grows its audience, strengthens brand relevance and converts digital engagement into measurable commercial performance - supporting both cricket and non-cricket revenue streams while amplifying participation and community impact across the Yorkshire CCC group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute Yorkshire’s digital strategy across cricket and non-cricket activity, aligning content and channel plans to commercial priorities.
  • Own the digital content roadmap, master calendar, and publishing cadence to ensure the right content reaches the right audience at the right time.
  • Set and deliver ambitious audience growth, acquisition, engagement, and conversion targets across all digital platforms.
  • Lead organic and paid publishing strategies to maximise reach, performance, and return.
  • Develop scalable content frameworks and campaigns that directly support ticketing, membership, hospitality, retail, and partnership objectives.
  • Build seamless fan journeys from social platforms to owned channels, driving data capture, CRM growth, and measurable revenue contribution.
  • Act as final editorial gatekeeper, maintaining premium brand standards and applying platform best practice across all output.
  • Translate Club campaigns, live moments, and major initiatives into compelling, social-first storytelling.
  • Champion athlete-led storytelling and hero player features to strengthen fan connection and engagement.
  • Develop creator and influencer collaborations to expand reach, cultural relevance, and audience scale.
  • Use insight and analytics to optimise performance, continuously refining formats, targeting, and creative execution.
  • Lead and develop digital and content specialists, managing workflow, agency partners, and external suppliers to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Operate confidently in fast-paced environments, making real-time publishing decisions during matchdays, events, and key moments.
  • Identify emerging content formats, platform innovation opportunities, and digital product improvements to enhance fan experience and monetisation.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
  • 4+ years’ experience in social media or digital content, with proven ownership of publishing and platform strategy.
  • Track record of driving measurable audience growth, engagement, and conversion.
  • Strong commercial mindset, connecting digital content to revenue outcomes.
  • Experience leading content teams and managing creative contributors.
  • Excellent storytelling, editorial judgement, and athlete/creator-led content expertise.
  • Deep understanding of social algorithms, platform nuances, and posting cadence.
  • Comfortable making final editorial decisions and working in live, high-pressure environments.
  • Skilled in using analytics to optimise performance and inform creative decisions.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence across marketing, digital, and commercial teams.
