Would you like to work as part of a dynamic campaigning team? Do you want to make a real difference by helping make the world a safer place for future generations?
The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) has been campaigning for nuclear disarmament since the 1950s, and we need your help to ensure our campaign continues to get our message out. We are looking for someone to help with the youth & student outreach work in Yorkshire, with a focus on our digital branding to ensure our message is reaching new audiences.
We are particularly keen on finding someone who is confident in front of a camera, to help us develop our video content on platforms like Tiktok & Instagram.
Responsibilities
- Helping with our online branding by creating tiktok content/instagram reels to engage more people with our campaign work e.g. at the upcoming AMRC demo in Sheffield and our annual Peace & Crafts Fair in Saltaire.
- Being an admin for our ‘Peace Portal’ Whatsapp group chat
- Being a rep on CND stalls on student campuses
What are we looking for?
- Experience with creating video content for Instagram & Tiktok
- Recording equipment e.g. a phone with a good quality camera
- A good understanding of trending content
- Comfortable in front of a camera and speaking to others in-person
- Familiarity with the peace movement
- Ability to communicate complex issues to broad audiences
- Active and broad understanding of local, national and international political issues
- Commitment to the aims of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
- Ability to network and maintain professional relationships with others
- Resident in the Yorkshire region
