Yorkshire Cleaning Fabrics Ltd (YCF) is a long-established, family‑run business specialising in the manufacture and distribution of textile cleaning products. Due to retirement, we are seeking a hands‑on Works Manager / Foreman to oversee our factory operations and support our continued growth.
The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our Halifax production facility, supervising a friendly and experienced team of 10. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a practical, team‑focused environment and enjoys being involved on the factory floor as well as planning and organising operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting a team of approximately 10 operatives
- Planning, organising and implementing production and manufacturing schedules
- Working to integrate our current ERP system (WinMan) into warehouse and manufacturing functions
- Coordinating dispatch, delivery routes and schedules
- Providing practical operational cover and support across production and dispatch when needed
Candidate Requirements
- A leadership style that sets the tone from the factory floor
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Ability to plan, delegate, and organise workload efficiently
- Experience within manufacturing or warehousing would be beneficial
- Textile product knowledge is an advantage, but full training will be provided
