These highly visible senior roles are accountable for significant spend portfolios and enterprise‑wide commercial governance. What you’ll do

  • Lead and deliver strategic sourcing, outsourcing and supplier strategies across a complex, regulated environment, ensuring alignment with legal, risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Take accountability for a large, enterprise‑wide supplier portfolio (300+ suppliers / c.£150m annual spend), driving strong commercial governance and performance management.
  • Represent Procurement at Senior Leadership Team and Executive Committee forums, influencing third‑party strategy, supplier rationalisation, and early engagement on sourcing needs.
  • Develop and execute long‑horizon category and sourcing strategies that deliver value generation, cost optimisation, resilience and supplier‑enabled innovation.
  • Lead the consideration of outsourcing, insourcing, co‑sourcing and partnership models to support business strategy and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing Category & Sourcing team, building future capability and continuously improving ways of working.

What you’ll need

  • Senior‑level experience leading complex strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including category strategy, total cost of ownership modelling, cost‑benefit analysis and commercial risk assessment.
  • Extensive experience delivering large‑scale sourcing and outsourcing programmes (typically £10m+ TCV), using a range of competitive sourcing approaches (RFI, RFP, RFQ, e‑auctions).
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier risk management, operational resilience and managing transition or migration risks.
  • Proven ability to influence Executive and Board‑level stakeholders with clear, compelling commercial insight and recommendations.
  • A strong people leader, with experience building capability, coaching others and driving a culture of commercial excellence and accountability.
